Editorial Policy

EditVoyage publishes travel guides that we want people to actually rely on. This page explains who writes our content, how it is researched and reviewed, how we keep it current, and how to tell us when we get something wrong. These standards apply to every destination guide and article on the site.

Who writes our content

Every guide is written and reviewed by a named member of our editorial team — never published anonymously or under a generic house byline. Each writer owns a region or subject they know well, and their name, role and area of focus appear on every article they produce, linking to a full author profile. How we research and write

Our guides combine our writers' own travel experience with careful, source-based research. For every guide we:

  • Draw on first-hand travel experience within the writer's region of expertise;
  • Cross-check practical details — opening hours, prices, transport, visa and entry rules — against official and primary sources such as government, transport-operator and venue websites;
  • Prioritise information that helps a traveller make a decision over filler and generic description;
  • Have a second editor review the guide for accuracy, balance and clarity before it is published.

Accuracy and corrections

Travel information changes quickly. While we work hard to keep everything accurate, prices, schedules, and entry requirements can change at any time, and you should always confirm the essentials with official sources before you travel.

If you spot something that is out of date or wrong, please tell us at editorial@editvoyage.com or through our contact page. We review every report and update the guide where needed. Significant corrections are reflected in the "Last updated" date shown on each article.

How we keep guides current

Each guide shows its original publication date and, where it has been revised, a "Last updated" date. We review guides on a rolling basis and after major changes that affect travellers — new visa rules, transport changes, or significant openings and closures.

Independence and honesty

Our recommendations reflect our writers' genuine assessment. We do not accept payment in exchange for favourable coverage, and recommendations are never for sale. Where a guide contains an affiliate link or any content is sponsored, we disclose it clearly and it never changes what we recommend. This site is supported in part by advertising, which is kept separate from editorial decisions.

Use of technology

We use research and productivity tools, including AI-assisted tooling, to help with drafting and organising information. A named human writer and editor is responsible for the substance, accuracy and final approval of everything we publish. We do not publish unreviewed, machine-generated content.
